New installation at RNLI College

A busy week last week. Three days on the slipway at Poole, Dorset building 12 Drive on Docks for the RNLI College.

Having seen the Versadock floating drive on docking as the perfect solution to their requirements, we created a bank of 10 drive on docks for 6 D Class boats and 4 Atlantic 85's. This was followed by 2 individual drive on docks for 2 more Atlantic 85's.

The drive on dock installation was completed for the required Wednesday evening deadline despite gales, storms, sleet and rain.  The impressive array of Versadock floating modular drive on docking can be seen in use below:

Well here we go! New website is up and running - looks great and hope you all agree.

On this blog, we will bring you regular news and pictures of what is happening in the world of Versadock - new projects, installations, news from the exhibitions and much more. Please keep checking back with us.

The new and unique DockBuilder programme will be added to the site within 2 weeks, this will allow you to enter every detail needed for us to come straight back to you with a quotation for your Versadock installation.

We have a major installation in Poole (UK) next week and will bring you pictures once it is done. Hope the weather holds for us as it will be a 3 day job in December! It is good to see activity at this time of the year.

As well as this, we are busy planning out January show schedule (London & Dusseldorf|) and we now have a small dock in the pool at London Show - great news!

Company History

History of Versadock

VersaDock began creating modular floating dock systems back in 1997. We focused our early attention on commercial and residential applications.  Realising the growing potential of the Drive on docking market, we spent several years working on a safe design that would both protect the watercraft and allow the driver to approach and dock the boat in a very controlled manner. Existing systems on the market at the time were neither fully safe nor practical and we wanted to get it right!

In 2004, we released our patented V-Float technology which allowed us to create safe and controlled drive on docking systems for most small and mid-sized boats. Our design focused on customer safety and the result is quite different than the solutions of our competitors.

In 2006 we launched our new double floats which radically changed the design of our docks and allowed us to expand into new markets. The 2 double floats give us significant advantages in terms of both price as well as performance.

In 2006, Versadock International Ltd was formed as a separate company, based in the UK, to handle our growing worldwide expansion and a number of active Distributors were appointed in a wide selection of countries.

Versadock International takes the helm

In 2009, Versadock International Ltd purchased the entire assets of the Versadock group and the head office moved to our offices in Lymington, UK. The decision was taken to leave our production facility in the USA so we could continue to service the local market as well as being close to major US east coast ports for shipping.                      

Versadock launches new website

Versadock International have commissioned a local design company to freshen up our website. Due for launch by December 9th 2011, the new website aims to inform new visitors whilst offering a useful range of resources for existing customers.
