Rib Challenge Regional Finals update...

If you were wondering how the rib challenge regional final results from Lymington turned out, here is the biased Lymington view!

William Hancock in the 8-12 age group, came first for Lymington with a time of 1:02.82 beating his nearest rival by some 15 seconds, and set the fastest time in the country this year by 14 seconds, and in the process booked himself a place at the National final at the boat show on September 15th.

James Eady in the 13-16 age group was beaten into second place with a time of 0:58.06, being beaten by 0.12 second or 12 hundredths of a second, by last years national champion from Parkstone YC with a time of 0:57.94.

Ollie Tait came third with a time of 1:01.32, again a really fantastic time anywhere else in the country bar the super competitive southern region. Some regional winners will be going to the Boat show national final with winning times in excess of two minutes!

So our three lads were so good that their times nationally from the regional finals all across the country in all age groups,  place them:

James - Second fastest nationally
Ollie - Fourth fastest nationally
William - Fifth fastest nationally in both age groups together

VersaDock have great interest in 2103 Honda RYA Youth RIB Championship

The Honda RYA Youth RIB Championship, sponsored by Honda and Ribcraft, is a National Championship in which 8 - 16 year old Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) drivers can demonstrate their skills with the goal of winning a 4.8m Ribcraft or a Honwave T40 for their club.

William Hancock, son of VersaDock Chairman, Phillip Hancock, is a member of the Royal Lymington Yacht Club's team for 2013 and is setting some very fast times in practice.

Versadock have provided the RLymYC with a Drive on Dock to ensure their Rib "Haven Challenger" is maintained in the best possible condition in the build up to the Championship.

The Regional Finals are fast approaching, with the Southern area finals being held on Saturday 10th August 2013 at the Royal Lymington YC.

If William and his Lymington colleagues do their bit and qualify, they will be competing in the National Final which will be held at the PSP Southampton Boat Show on Sunday 15th September 2013

Versadock working with UKRO 2013

The UKRO 2013 (UK Rescue Organisation) Challenge at The Albert Docks, Liverpool, has been a great all round experience this year.  We have particularly enjoyed working with some good people who have embraced our products and shared thoughts on where Versadock could be usefully deployed.

Highlights of the weekend included pilots navigating through the Versadock slalom course in the fastest time.

 

Having tested the skill of the pilots, UKRO tested their rescue capabilities with a series of scenarios, using a combination of Versadock platforms and high speed ribs.

Following on from us challenging UKRO, Versadock demonstrated the rapid deployment capabilites of our modular rafts highlighting why our flexible system is a world leading product.
